Mission StatementMayo School of Health Sciences Alumni Association exists to build collegial relationships, improve life-long learning, enhance communication, and recognize excellence to benefit alumni and support the Mayo School of Health Sciences. Vision Statement"A dynamic, visible, and mutually beneficial connection between Mayo School of Health Sciences (MSHS) and its alumni." The MSHS Alumni Association will accomplish this vision by promoting pride in membership and demonstrating value through participation.
The year 1998 marked a quarter century of high-quality education for Mayo School of Health Sciences. It also represents another milestone: The launching of the Mayo School of Health Sciences Alumni Association. The value of this relationship is nurtured by the ties formed between students, faculty and staff of the school, heightened by the education that students experience on campus, appreciated and respected colleagues in their professional life, and broadened and strengthened by the connection between alumni, the Mayo School of Health Sciences Alumni Assocation and Mayo Clinic. Over the years, more than 9,000 Mayo allied health professionals have graduated from Mayo education programs. This large body of alumni represents an important group of allied health professionals, both to their programs and to Mayo School of Health Sciences. Being a member of the Mayo School of Health Sciences Alumni Assocation has several advantages. These advantages include: - Developing a voice in allied health professional education

- Learning about healthcare delivery from the Mayo perspective
- Keeping abreast of news about the specific allied health program and other programs of Mayo School of Health Sciences

Why do graduates participate in alumni organizations? Among the reasons are pride in the program or institution from which they have graduated, a desire to remain connected to the parent institution, anticipation of reunion in the future, continued association with persons who share common experiences and goals, accessibility of continuing professional education, and a desire to ensure that the next generation of professionals will have similar values and opportunities. The Mayo School of Health Sciences Alumni Association will endeavor to maintain connections with our alumni and enhance the sense of unity with our alumni, Mayo Clinic and Mayo School of Health Sciences.
